PQ2 Character JohnWillis

John B. Willis (aka Big John) is an officer in the Lytton Police Department. Though assigned to the Narcotics Division as a detective, Willis was a uniformed officer in charge of the evidence lock-up at the remodeled Lytton Police Station during the time of Jessie Bains' escape from Lytton City Jail. His responsibility in this role was to receive, catalogue, and dispense evidence collected during criminal investigations. Willis received multiple items collected by Sonny Bonds and Task Force Target, related to the Bains case.

Despite being physically shorter than the average police officer at the LPD in the late 1980s, Willis was ironically known as "Big John". In 1980, while still assigned as a Patrol officer, Willis used his nightstick to fend off several violent bikers, indicating either great physical strength or skill - for which he won a departmental commendation.

Behind the Scenes[]

Willis' computer record features yet another date mismatch, one of many to be found in the various records. The record claims he was born in 1951, but appointed to the LPD in 1965 - at the age of 14.

In the Police Quest Casebook, this character is replaced with Big John Whalen.
